Missing Richmond Heights man found safe

RICHMOND HEIGHTS, MO. - Update: James Mierisch was found safe Thursday afternoon. Thanks to everyone who worked to find him.

The Richmond Heights Police Department has issued an Endangered SILVER Advisory for a missing man with Schizophrenia.

James Robert Mierisch, 69, was last seen around 12:33 a.m. on Tuesday.

According to the advisory, Mierisch told his daughter he was going to the hospital with a nose bleed, but he never made it to the hospital.

Mierisch is described as a white man, 6-foot-4, 258 pounds with white hair and black eyes. He was wearing a dark color shirt and blue jeans. He also has a scar near his left eye. He has Schizophrenia, early onset dementia, diabetes and high blood pressure.

He was driving a black 2004 Volvo S60 with Missouri plate SN7P1J and was last seen at 7447 Dale Avenue.

Anyone who has seen Mierisch is asked to dial 911 immediately or call the Richmond Heights Police Department at 314-645-3000.
