SAN FRANCISCO — AT&T customers across the midwest reported outages Friday night, with the problem appearing to be centered in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Kentucky, Minnesota as well as the Philadelphia region.
The outage appears to have begun around 7:00 p.m. ET based on when tweets about the problem began.
"We are aware of a service issue which may be affecting some wireless customers in areas of Southcentral Illinois, southern Indiana and Kentucky, and we’re investigating the issue and will work to resolve it as quickly as possible. We apologize for this inconvenience," said AT&T spokesperson Fletcher Cook.
