Cardinals' chef cooks with teen cancer patient

ST. LOUIS - A local teenager who loves to cook received a rare treat Thursday.

Fourteen-year-old Issa Alover is fighting cancer. On Thursday morning he learned about cooking and nutrition from the same chefs who take care of the St. Louis Cardinals.

Issa was a guest of Chef Bob Brazell at the restaurant Athletes Eat on Cherokee Street. He learned how to cook healthy and delicious foods as part of the paleo diets that many people follow.

The visit was made possible by Friends of Kids with Cancer, a local charitable organization devoted to enriching the daily lives of children with cancer.
