CityArchRiver unveils new robotic, panorama camera

ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – As work on the new Arch grounds continue, the CityArchRiver 2015 Foundation has now unveiled a new camera to gain a new perspective on the construction and renovations.

The robotic camera is mounted on the roof of the Hyatt Regency and will showcase a number of different panoramic views of the Gateway Arch grounds and downtown St. Louis.

The project is dedicated to revamping the Gateway Arch grounds in time for its 50th birthday. Plans include building a park over I-70 to connect the Old Courthouse to the Arch. Crews will also renovate the courthouse, and the museum, where there will be a new visitor entrance. Kiener Plaza and the north side of the Arch grounds will also get a facelift.

Progress as well as time-lapse video can be seen on the project construction website.
