ST. LOUIS – The group Citizens for Modern Transit will talk about results of a study of the benefits to expanding St. Louis' MetroLink rail system.
The panel will meet Thursday, March 27 at 8 a.m. at the 4240 Building, at 4240 Duncan Avenue in the CORTEX complex. There will also be a discussion about the possibility of creating a light rail station in the Midtown/CORTEX area.
The study looks at the possibility of the first addition to the MetroLink since the Cross County Extension in 2006. The Midtown/CORTEX area is rapidly expanding, and is becoming an area known for bioscience and technology research, and has the potential to be an ideal location for a new MetroLink station.
If you would like to attend the CMT meeting, registration begins at 7:30 a.m. CMT members get in for $10, non-members get in for $20. Registration can also be done online through CMT's website.
