Cooler temps benefit crowds at STL attractions

ST. LOUIS - This July has been great for some of St. Louis' most treasured attractions.

At Grant's Farm, which is celebrating its 60th year, attendance is up 25 percent comparing this July to last year.

In fact, one viewer told us when she arrived, there was a two-hour wait to get from the parking lot to the tram.

She eventually left for the Missouri Botanical Garden, which has seen unprecedented attendance numbers.

So far this July, they have 100,000 visitors.

That is 43 percent better than 2013 and 150 percent better than 2012.

The Saint Louis Zoo is about the same this July at nearly 500,000 visitors.

We checked with Six Flags, but they don't share attendance figures as a corporate policy.
