Some sad news to share about a story we've been following, and one that made international headlines.

It's a love story between a St. Charles County man and his wife who lives hundreds of miles apart.  Dalton and Katie Prager were both fighting cystic fibrosis and cancer.  He was hoping to see her one last time before she died.

Over the weekend, the husband, Dalton Prager, died in St. Louis. Dalton Prager’s family said he died in the hospital on Saturday, surrounded by friends and family.

Dalton and his wife Katie met online, and bonded over their battled with cystic fibrosis. They married and lived together for a few short years. But, their health forced them to live in separate states, so they could receive around-the-clock care from family members.

Dalton had planned a trip to see Katie one last time in Kentucky.

"He wasn't ready to go. he still had things he wanted to do, but God had other plans for him," said Tammy Krumrey, Dalton's aunt. "There are people all over the world have picked up their story and loved them as much as we love them.

Dalton’s services are scheduled for Tuesday. The family is asking that any donations to go the cystic fibrosis foundation.
