Dooley asks for $1M to support Ferguson

CLAYTON, Mo. – St. Louis County Executive Charlie Dooley asked the County Council for $1 million from the emergency fund to be transferred to the Department of Human Services to support Ferguson residents.

"I have been in Ferguson nearly every day since this unfortunate incident occurred; the residents there need a break and any support we can provide to help the community heal and get back on its feet should be provided," Dooley said. "It's the humane thing to do."

Dooley says the money will be used to provide support wherever it is needed.
