Dozens of Australian Shepherds brought to Humane Society

ST. LOUIS - Dozens of Australian Shepherd dogs have arrived at the Humane Society of Missouri in St. Louis.

The dogs were living with a breeder in Taney County. The breeder decided to close up shop and surrender the dogs to the Humane Society.

Right now, all of the dogs are being examined for any kind of health problems. Then they will be either spayed or neutered. After that, the dogs will go up for adoption.

The Humane Society says people interested in adopting the Australian Shepherds should know they are intelligent, but very high energy. Also keep in mind these dogs would need special care and socialization.

Once they're available for adoption they'll be listed on the Humane Society's website.
