Eight arrested overnight in Ferguson

FERGUSON, Mo. – Eight people were arrested overnight during protests in Ferguson.

According to the St. Louis County Police Department, five of the arrests were for failure to disperse. Only one person arrested was from Ferguson.

On Thursday, Gov. Jay Nixon announced he was withdrawing the Missouri National Guard from Ferguson. The Guard was brought in Monday after the Unified Command Center was attacked by protesters on Sunday.

During a news conference early Friday morning, Missouri State Highway Patrol Capt. Ron Johnson said "It was another good night."
