ESL halts traffic camera tickets

EAST ST. LOUIS - You won't have to worry about speed cameras in East St. Louis, at least for now.

The city says it has stopped collecting fines from people who's been ticketed by the use of the cameras. Officials say they're trying to work through some of the program's legal issues.

The St. Clair County State's Attorney said the tickets were illegal because there wasn't a way for people to use the courts to appeal.
