ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - The change of venue for this year's Fair St. Louis will mean some changes to one of the event's main attractions – the fireworks.
The will be best visible from Art Hill. And organizers have put a lot of effort into making sure this year's display is just as good as it has been in year's past, under the Arch. The change presented a number of challenge, since the space is smaller than the riverfront, and there are noise-sensitive neighbors, including animals at the zoo. So, organizers downsized the display but made it more artistic. They moved the audience closer to the fireworks.
"All of us have a once in a lifetime opportunity to see concerts and fireworks on Art Hill with the fireworks framed by the Grand Basin. The Grand Basin looking up to Art Hill is one of the great viewpoints in St. Louis so we're going to be able to experience that," said Mayor Francis Slay's Chief of Staff, Jeff Rainford.
