Fairview Heights baseball field, neighborhood vandalized

The two suspects vandalized a special needs baseball baseball field over the weekend.

FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, ILL. - Police are looking for more information with the vandalizing of multiple buildings and signs in and around the Miracle League baseball field overnight Sunday morning.

Wednesday afternoon, officials were able to identify two teenage girls, both minors, responsible for the damage done over the weekend.

Police did not say what charges would be filed against the pair.

Per a press release, an employee of the Fairview Heights Park and Recreation Department alerted Fairview Heights Police early Sunday morning that the women's restroom at Moody Park had been spray painted with "13". 

Fairview Heights Police followed the graffiti to the Brittany Estates neighborhood where similar types of graffiti was left on garage doors and other parts of various houses. Signs at the intersection of Union Hill Rd. at Longacre Dr. were also tagged with the same "13". 

Ten separate reports of graffiti were reported along the same stretch of the neighborhood.
