Frank Cusumano lands his dream job!

"I would give anything in the world to be able to tell him about this job. Who knows, maybe they get Channel 5 in heaven."

5 On Your Side has promoted Frank Cusumano to Sports Director.

Frank Cusumano has been a sportscaster at KSDK since 1993, where he has won an Edward R. Murrow Award and 17 Emmys, including this year’s Best Sports Anchor for his storytelling and sports coverage. Frank is a voter for the Heisman Trophy and St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame. In April, he will also receive the Jack Buck Award from the St. Louis Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame.

“Some kids want to be doctors, others want to be lawyers, all I have ever wanted to do is to talk about sports on television and radio in St. Louis,” says Frank, “I am honored to be able to tell the stories of these incredible athletes in our town.”

Frank is a true St. Louis local and a Hall of Famer himself at De Smet High School, UMSL and the Catholic Youth Council. For 23 years, Frank has been committed to covering all athletics in St. Louis; from high school prep rallies to the World Series. However, his work at 5 On Your Side also goes beyond covering sports, speaking at numerous schools and charity events across the area.

“Frank’s passion for storytelling and dedication to the sports community in St. Louis are apparent throughout his outstanding career - we are thrilled to now have him as the sports director at KSDK,” said Karin Movesian, 5 On Your Side news director.
