Fuel tank catches fire after accident

ST. FRANCOIS COUNTY, Mo. – A fuel tank on a grain truck caught fire Monday night after it was struck by a vehicle.

The accident happened around 9 p.m. on the parking lot of Huskey Feed in St. Francois County. Chief David Pratte with Big River Fire says the tank was filled with 100 gallons of diesel fuel.

The grain truck and the other vehicle were all on fire at one point. Nobody was injured and no evacuations were necessary.

Fire officials are still on the scene cleaning up the diesel fuel.

Missouri State Highway Patrol officers are investigating the accident.
