ST. LOUIS - Religious leaders from St. Louis and East St. Louis are calling for peace in the wake of the shootings and deaths of Michael Brown and Trayvon Martin.
Pastors from several congregations joined forces Tuesday morning to talk about bringing an end to the violence. They're calling on the members of all area churches to address the problems and find ways to help.
They encouraged everyone in the community to join them for this weekend's PeaceFest, a place where everyone can come together in peace and find solutions to their problems.
PeaceFest 2014 will be this Sunday in Forest Park. About 10,000 people are expected to participate. It's sponsored by Better Family Life and the St. Louis Clergy Coalition.
