Major Case Squad investigating Cahokia murder

CAHOKIA, Ill. (KSDK) - A 45-year-old woman was killed Friday morning during a home break-in in Cahokia and local authorities activated the Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis as a result.

The incident happened around 3:50 a.m. in the 100 block of Kenneth Avenue. Major Case Squad was activated around 6:45 a.m. The victim was taken to a local hospital by family members. She died a short time later.
