St. Clair County streamlines process for voter complaints

ST. CLAIR COUNTY, Ill. (KSDK) - With the Illinois general primary election tomorrow, authorities in St. Clair County have partnered with the U.S. Attorney's Office to establish an easier way for the public to report violations in the voting process.

Persons will be able to email, call, and provide their written complaints in the following ways:

Phone: the Voter Integrity Hotline at 618-825-2366

Written correspondence: St. Clair County Clerk's Office (Attn: Election Dept.), 10 Public Square, Belleville, Illinois 62220

All emails will be sent to the U.S. Attorney, the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office, the St. Clair County State's Attorney's Office, and the St. Clair County Clerk's Election Department automatically. All letters and phone calls will be documented, scanned and distributed via the same voter integrity email system.

The St. Clair County Sheriff's Office will assign deputies to investigate complaints as they come in.
