Library card found in Puerto Rico mailed to St. Louis Public Library

Divers on a lionfish hunt off the coast of Puerto Rico found this.

ST. LOUIS - A library card that was left in Puerto Rico made its way back to St. Louis.

The St. Louis Public Library card was apparently found underwater by a non-profit organization during a lionfish capturing trip.

The St. Louis Public Library posted a photo of the card along with a note from the person who found it to their Facebook.

“Oh the stories this SLPL card could tell! One of our patrons lost their card, but no worries, it was recovered underwater in Puerto Rico and returned to us! Thank you!”

The note reads,
We found this underwater in Vieques, Puerto Rico. We thought it would be cool if the student received it and knew it was recovered on a lionfish capturing trip. We are a non-profit organization with a small library.
Anyway, Hope it makes it back.

The date on the letter sent to the library is April 27.
