Lifesaver lands at Lambert

ST. LOUIS – A literal lifesaver is back in St. Louis.

St. Louis County police officer Gary Robertson arrived at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport Friday night after making national headlines in Washington D.C.

Robertson was at the National Police Week Ceremony in D.C. when a bagpiper collapsed and had no pulse. Robertson and another man started chest compression and revived the man.

The victim met Robertson for the first time in the hospital Friday. Shaking hands, the bagpiper promised to pay the young officer back in a very special way.

The bagpiper is in stable condition.
