Lumiere, River City casinos set to reopen

ST. LOUIS - Lumiere Place and River City Casino are back open.

The two casinos closed for more than 30 hours for what the companies called a "regulatory system conversion." It was needed due to the sale of Lumiere Place Casino and the two hotels located on the property in downtown St. Louis.

Pinnacle Entertainment Inc. sold Lumiere Place for $260 million to Tropicana Entertainment Inc. Pinnacle announced last summer it would have to sell the property to appease federal regulators, after it purchased Ameristar Casino Resort Spa St. Charles.

Pinnacle also owns River City Casino.
