Lumiere's slot machines shut down, cause problems

ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – A number of Lumiere Casino patrons left frustrated early Thursday morning when the casino's slot machines shut down.

According to Lumiere spokesperson Jennifer Intravia, a system failure with the slot machines occurred at 8 p.m., and it caused slot machines to stop paying out customers.

Although the slot machines stopped paying out, the casino worked to pay out patrons manually, which has taken a longer time.

The casino closed down after midnight to focus on the issue, Intravia said.

The casino will reopen at 6:30 a.m.

NewsChannel 5 will have more information as it becomes available.
