Lyft to meet with Mayor Slay next week

ST. LOUIS – There's a new twist in the St. Louis battle over ride-sharing services.

A company called Lyft tried to launch in St. Louis last week. Lyft is similar to a cab service, and picks up passengers in pink-mustached cars.

But the Metropolitan Taxi Commission wasn't happy, and successfully argued for a temporary restraining order.

On Friday, Lyft's co-founder said his company will meet with Mayor Slay next week. He hopes both sides can reach a compromise that allows Lyft to stay in the city.
