Camp retreat helps Ferguson kids unite and heal

The kids impacted by the unrest in Ferguson went on a retreat at

The unrest in Ferguson last year was more than just images on TV to kids in and around Ferguson.

That's why the owners of Camp Manitowa, an 8 week summer camp on Rend Lake in southern Illinois put together some fall retreats. With help from the Ferguson-Florrisant school district and some local non-profits they are trying to build some bridges for these kids.

The goal is understanding and healing because they believe camp can make a difference.
