Man dies from downtown 'cycle crash injuries

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis police say the motorcyclist who, along with a passenger, were struck by a motorist who ran a red light in downtown St. Louis, has died.

Dwight Young Jr., 25, of Florissant, died overnight from injuries suffered in the collision at Washington and Broadway. Originally, Young and a 26-year-old female passenger were taken to an area hospital after the incident..

The accident happened around 11:10 p.m. Thursday.

Authorities said the woman is listed in serious condition, although her names has not been released. The investigation is continuing.
