Mechanic helping others for free

KIRKWOOD, Mo. - While the plows focus on the roads, the Always Mobile Mechanic Jeff Watts is looking out for his neighbors. Watts and his girlfriend, Beth Galovich, are braving the elements to do some good free of charge.

"Helping everybody that we can get out of the snow," said Galovich.

They're roaming the streets of Kirkwood in search of people in sticky situations.

"After awhile the cold won't even bother you," explained Watts.

Watts is ready for anything.

"I have everything back here from shovels, we've got snow tires to push, I got a mat in case I need to climb up underneath someone's car," said Watts.

The drivers receiving some unexpected help consider themselves lucky.

"You guys are awesome thank you so much," said Ashley Hamann, driver.

"I would have been stuck here for days," explained Kristin McHargue, driver.

The mechanic says he's just doing his part.

"It feels good."

"Why not why not so many people get stuck they're out here freezing you got a couple extra helping hands why not," said Galovich.

In this weather those helping hands make all the difference.

"No problem, that's what we're here for," said Watts.

The Always Mobile Mechanic is finished offering his free services, but he's on call all the time. You can contact Jeff Watts at 702-885-1973.
