Missing Pacific teenager found safe

PACIFIC, Mo. (KSDK) - A Pacific teenager who went missing about 10 days ago has been found safe.

A spokesperson with the Pacific Police Department said 16-year-old Catilynn Smith left her home June 3 at about 7 p.m. after getting in a fight with her mother over the phone. Her mom told police that she let her daughter leave to cool down, but later went looking for her when she didn't come back.

A Pacific police officer was called to a local fast food restaurant that night because a young woman matching Smith's description was asking for a ride to St. Louis. When the officer arrived at the restaurant, the young woman was gone.

Smith was last seen on Monday, June 9 near Grand and Bates asking for money, before getting on a bus headed north on Grand.
