Missouri astronaut back from ISS, talks to KSDK

ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - A Missouri-born, University of Illinois graduate returned planet-side an American hero.

NASA Flight Engineer Michael Hopkins returned to Earth earlier this month after spending six months aboard the International Space Station.

In an exclusive interview with NewsChannel 5, Col. Hopkins answers questions about his experiences during the space trip.

Because of the way the interview was arraigned and recorded, you cannot hear the questions being asked. However, we have provided a list of the questions below.

1. Was there a moment where you had to stop and tell yourself, "I'm in space!"

2. When will you be coming back home to Missouri?

3. How was the adjustment coming back from space?

4. Was there anything you were not prepared for or not expecting while on the ISS?

5. Was it everything you hoped it would be?

6. What was your favorite experiment to conduct in space?

7. Did you get any good pictures of the Show Me State while on the ISS?

8. What was it like exercising and working out in space?
