Missouri voter turnout just under 25% in primary

(KSDK) – Just under a quarter of Missouri registered voters cast a ballot in the August 5 primary election, according to Secretary of State Jason Kander.

The official turnout in the election was 24.58 percent, which accounts for 998,000 of the state's more than 4 million voters.

Knox, Worth and Harrison had the highest voter participation, Kander said.
