No confidence vote against Festus police chief

FESTUS, Mo. – The Festus police officers' union wants the City Council to remove Chief Tim Lewis from Office.

Officers, who cast a no confidence vote against Lewis, say he lacks leadership and want him removed as soon as possible.

The union spokesperson tells NewsChannel 5 this has nothing to do with contract negotiations and advised the officers to hold off on their vote.

Lewis has not returned our call.
