A 20-year-old man was charged Monday, a day after he accidentally shot his nephew.
Around 7:45 p.m. Sunday, St. Louis County police were called out to the Sugar Pine Apartments in unincorporated north St. Louis County for reports of shots fired.
According to charging documents, Jordan Henderson, 20, was playing with a gun before accidentally shooting his 14-year-old nephew.
He was charged with second-degree assault.
The 14-year-old was transported to an area hospital and is expected to survive.
