One injured in foam explosion in Pacific

PACIFIC, Mo. – One person sustained injuries Wednesday night after an explosion at a lab in Pacific, Mo.

The foam explosion happened at the Clayton Corporation in the 300 block of Integram Drive shortly after 9 p.m.

Authorities say one person sustained burns, but the severity of the injury is unclear. The victim was taken to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur for treatment.

Clayton Corporation makes aerosol valves, like the ones you would find on whipped cream canisters.

There's no word yet on what caused the explosion.
