Overland student wins $1 million Powerball

OVERLAND, MO. - A 21-year-old from Overland is a new millionaire, thanks to the Powerball.

Chaz Williams, a graphic design student, matched all five numbers, but not the Powerball in the October 26 drawing. If he had matched the Powerball, he would have won the $164 million jackpot.

“I checked my numbers online. I thought I had won the jackpot when I saw that I had matched so many numbers,” said Williams. “I’ll take what I got, though.”

Williams purchased his ticket from the Quick Mart in the 9700 block of Lackland Road in St. Louis. He used Quick Pick to choose his numbers.

Williams says he plans to use his prize to pay the rest of his tuition.
