Parkway bus drivers get active shooter training

ST. LOUIS COUNTY – Parkway School District bus drivers headed to class Tuesday for training they hope they'll never have to use.

They learned what to do if they are confronted by someone with a gun.

In the past, active shooter drills have focused on schools.

Administrators say it's important to make sure bus drivers are prepared as well.

Tuesday's training focused on awareness.

The Missouri Center for Education Safety conducted today's drill.

Some of the agency's funding comes from a Homeland Security grant.
