Police: Chesterfield teen damages car with mascara

CHESTERFIELD, Mo. (KSDK) – An 18-year-old Chesterfield teen faces a felony charge after smearing mascara all over the windows and mirrors of a parked car.

According to police, Carlie Hertel became upset over how a car parked in the 16000 block of Baxter Road.

She left a note, saying, "How about you park your car like a normal person" and smeared the makeup all over a white 2011 Infiniti. According to Chesterfield Police Department, the victim said a number of scratches on his driver's side windows and windshield were found.

Hertel caused more than $3,000 worth of damage to the car, according to police.

She now faces a first-degree property damage charge, and her bail has been set at $2,000.
