Police looking for suspect in two STL County armed robberies

Police are looking for a man they believe committed two armed robberies in St. Louis County Thursday morning.

According to a press release from the St. Louis County Police Department, police believe a man committed a pair of convenience store robberies at around 3 and 11 a.m. Thursday.

The first robbery occurred at a Circle K on the 1900 block of Union Road. The second took place at an In-N-Out Liquor on the 9400 block of South Broadway Street.

In both incidents, the suspect displayed a weapon and demanded money from the clerk. He received undisclosed amounts of cash in both instances before fleeing the scene on a black motorized scooter.

Police described the suspect in both cases as an average height and build black man in his mid 30s with a scruffy beard. In the first incident, police described him with short hair and in the second crime they said the suspect was wearing a red hat, potentially with an NFL logo.

Police said, at this time,  they believe the same man committed both robberies.

There were no injuries reported in either incident.
