Protesters gather at Justice Center

CLAYTON, Mo. – While the grand jury is meeting Wednesday afternoon, some protesters have moved from Ferguson to the Justice Center in Clayton.

The protesters started gathering just before 9 a.m. By 11 a.m. there were about two dozen out there holding signs and chanting. A man with a bullhorn was leading the crowd in chants while police officers stood side-by-side across the street on the plaza.

Some of the group members said they are there for several reasons but mainly to ask that prosecutor Robert McCulloch recuse himself from the case. They also say they want the grand jury to bring charges against Officer Darren Wilson.

These are protesters who we've seen on the streets of Ferguson. They say they've now chosen to be at the Justice Center because they want to protest in view of the decision makers.

"I want them we're out here and we're not just here but we want answers and that it's not business as usual," said Pastor Derrick Robinson.

Right now it's not clear how long the protesters plan to demonstrate in front of the Justice Center, but we'll keep an eye on things and bring you any new developments.
