More refugees have relocated to St. louis this month than any other month in nearly 15 years according to the International Institute of St. Louis.
The Institute is showing volunteers how help the roughly 200 refugees coming to St. Louis this month.
Between October 1, 2015 and September 30 of this year, the International Institute will have helped nearly 1,100 refugees resettle in St. Louis and about 300 of them are Syrians.
The institute is recruiting volunteers to help the refugees find jobs, housing, and learn public transportation routes in St. Louis.
More volunteers are also needed to babysit refugee children while their parents take orientation classes.
You can find out what you can do to volunteer with the Institute by visiting www.iistl.org.
