Shelter to honor fallen Mo. soldiers

ST. LOUIS COUNTY – Construction will begin Thursday on a new Gold Star Shelter in St. Louis County.

The shelter is the first in a series that will be built to honor Missourians killed in Iraq and Afghanistan.

At 4 p.m. crews will break ground at Jefferson Barracks.

When finished, the shelter will be donated to the St. Louis County Parks Department.
