Shots fired outside Chuck E. Cheese by father celebrating son's birthday

Witnesses reported Jovan Chamberlain, 25, got into an argument with another man who was a guest at his son's birthday party when he fired several shots into the air as he sped away from the scene.

FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, ILL. - A man celebrating his son’s birthday at Chuck E. Cheese was arrested after he fired several gunshots into the air in the parking lot before he drove away.

Officers responded to the Chuck E. Cheese at 10850 Lincoln Trail in Fairview Heights, Illinois on Saturday around 10:10 p.m.

Witnesses reported Jovan Chamberlain, 25, got into an argument with another man who was a guest at his son’s birthday party when he fired several shots into the air as he sped away from the scene.

Police stopped Chamberlain’s vehicle a short time later and arrested him. During the arrest, the gun was recovered inside the vehicle along with marijuana.

On Monday, Chamberlain was charged with two counts aggravated unlawful use of a weapon. He’s being held on a $25,000 bond.
