SLU: Shaw protests haven't disrupted campus

ST. LOUIS – The president of Saint Louis University has sent a letter to students, faculty, staff, and parents assuring them the school is doing what they can to keep the campus safe amid protests in the nearby Shaw neighborhood.

President Fred P. Pestello sent the letter Friday evening and says despite the close proximity of the protests, campus activities have not been disrupted.

Pestello went on to say the school is in constant contact with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department and on-campus authorities are ready to respond to any incidents or concerns.

SLU will be updating its Facebook and Twitter pages throughout the weekend to keep students informed.
