St. Louis Alderman proposes legal fortune-telling

ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - Fortunetellers may already know what the future holds for them in St. Louis, but the rest of us will need to wait for the city's Board of Aldermen to decide.

For the second year in a row, Alderman Shane Cohn has introduced a bill that would make fortune telling legal in the city. A similar measure failed in the past.

Under current ordinance, it's a misdemeanor

In 1994, aldermen argued that the elderly could be fleeced and defrauded by phony seers.
