St. Louis roofing company creates fund to honor Trooper

ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – A local company is giving back to animals after being inspired by one abused dog's story.

John Beal Roofing Company has started the "Beal 4 Barks" fund through the Humane Society of Missouri to help abused and neglected animals. CEO John Beal said the story of Trooper, a dog dragged down Interstate 55 last year and nursed back to health, inspired him to create the fund.

Recently, Trooper went to his forever home after being cared after for the past year.

The roofing company has donated $2,000 to start the fund and wants others to donate to help other animals such as Trooper.
