St. Louisan pens new mystery novel

ST. LOUIS - Chances are, you recognize the name Elaine Viets. She's a longtime popular media figure in St. Louis.

Viets was a columnist for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and hosted a television show, but she's probably best known as a prolific novelist and the author of a three-book series, including the "Dead End Job" series.

She joined First @ 4 Thursday along with Brandyn Jones, executive director of the Animal House Fund Cat Shelter to talk about her new book "Catnapped."
