The collected items were taken to local firehouses where the donations were sorted, boxed, and sent to more than 500 area food banks. The donations will provide over 500,000 meals to those in need.

If you did not receive a Scouting for Food bag, forgot to place your bag outside, or would like to donate more non-perishable food items you can drop off canned donations to MERS Missouri Goodwill until Nov. 26, 2016.
