KSDK -- It's wider than it looks.
Tuesday afternoon, Golfer Bubba Watson, St. Louis Rams Wide Receiver Dane Looker and Punter Donnie Jones tried to hit a golf ball across the Mississippi River. The event was part of the BMW Championship tee off ceremonies and money raised goes to charity.
Watson and Looker teed off at the overlook state across from Lenore K. Sullivan in front of the Arch. No one made it. From that spot, one of them needed to drive the ball 560 yards.
Watson, who is a supporter of the Evans Scholars, announced that he will donate $10,000 to the Foundation. The Foundation provides scholarships to golf caddies across the United States.
Watch the video to the right to see if they drove a ball across the Mighty Mississippi.
