KSDK -- A woman taken from the Pfizer campus in Chesterfield Thursday was brought to St. John's Medical Center in satisfactory condition, but a spokesman for her employer said she'll be able to sleep in her own bed.
Outside St. John's, Chesterfield Police would not comment on how the victim was doing. They left with bags of evidence, but offered few details on the case, or any potential suspect.
As for the victim, she works at Johnson Controls, a company that helps businesses become more energy efficient and employs 140,000 people worldwide.
In this case, the employee was working on site at Pfizer, operating as a systems technician for heating and cooling equipment. No word on what she was doing when the shooting occured.
Darryll Fortune, a spokesperson for Johnson Controls, called this a "rare, isolated incident" and said "we're just glad the employee is healthy and safe."
He added that the injury was to the woman's foot and she was released from the hospital later in the evening.
Neither the company nor police have released the victim's name.
