Thousands of dogs that is.
An estimated 8,000 pets and 80,000 people participated in the 16th annual Beggin' Pet Parade.
Five lucky dogs were crowned king, queen, prince, princess and jester of the 2009 Beggin' Court.
This is one of the largest pet parades in the country. All the money raised benefits the Open Door Animal Sanctuary.
Sunday's parade was part of St. Louis' Mardi Gras celebration.
