KSDK -- All over the country, car dealerships are going out of business in this troubled economy. There's one local dealership about to get even bigger, and most of us, even in a good economy couldn't afford what they're selling.
It's been a long time in the making, but it's now official. St. Louis Motorsports is now one of only 30 Rolls Royce dealers in the country. The Rolls Royce vehicles sell for
300 to 500 thousand dollars.
In case you are wondering if the depressed economy is keeping people from buying expensive dream cars, the answer is no. The owners of St. Louis Motorsports say they are regularly meeting a goal of selling at least 30 cars a month.
"We are looking at it on a day to day basis and as the market changes so are we and we are lowering our prices, "said Don Rochleau, sales manager.
Company owners say 60 percent of the dream car buyers are locals while the rest live around the region and different areas of the U.S.
