KSDK-Firefighters say smoke detectors helped everyone safely escape a fire at a St. Peters apartment complex Saturday.
The Vanderbilt Apartments caught fire shortly after 7 a.m. Five apartments were damaged, two seriously.
Fire officials aren't sure what caused the fire, but say they suspect it started on the outside of the building.
